Eldritch is an Italian-based Progressive Metal band formed a couple decades ago, and Tasting The Tears is their 9th studio album. The thematic topic du jour in Tasting The Tears is “love” in all of its forms, which, as you can imagine, involves musical interludes that are fast and passionate, while others are slow and dreamy. Vocalist Terence Holler performs admirably throughout the release, but musically the album tends to come across as surprisingly uninspired. You’re likely to find nothing that will “turn you off” when listening to this album, but you’ll likely find those tears tasting bittersweet at best.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
