Kayser is a Scandinavian band formed in 2004, and Read Your Enemy is their latest release. Kayser is comprised of a bunch of “uglies” generating an interesting sound — a blend of Doom Metal with what can be deemed both classic and modern Thrash. There’s plenty of aggression released within the (no) boundaries of their musical soundscape, and ample amounts of quality musicianship in true Thrash form. Vocalist Spice has limited range and talent, but his tone and approach to singing tend to fit Kayser’s musical style well. Having many songs that sound the same is the album’s unfortunate drawback.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
