Seventrain is a new band hailing from San Diego, California, USA, and their debut contains 11 tracks comprising roughly 45 minutes of Blues-based Hard Rock. The band self-produced and funded the recording of Seventrain on 2 inch analog tape, providing a very “natural” feel to their straight-forward sound. The drumming comes through thin in the mix, but the band does a good job of establishing and staying within a “groove” for each track, and vocalist Jon Campos (ex-Dive Bomber) performs solidly throughout this album. If you like Blues-based Hard Rock with a touch of Doom mixed in, check out Seventrain!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
