Crossover Thrash Metal band Enforced are set to release their new album entitled War Remains on April 28th. Enforced’s frontman Colby Knox took the time to talk with Metal Express Radio about the band’s upcoming album, their upcoming North American tour with Venom, his favorite bands from the New Wave of Thrash Metal, and more. Check out the chat below!

Metal Express Radio: Enforced’s new album entitled War Remains is set to be released on April 28th, what can you tell fans about the upcoming release?

Knox: War Remains is our most intense and aggressive offering to date. Sink your teeth into this aggressive 10-track juggernaut of crossover Thrash.

MER: How was the writing and recording process having this been Enforced’s third album?

Knox: Writing and recording was much more laid back; we weren’t worried about deadlines or stressing over being meticulous.

MER: How would you compare War Remains to Enforced’s previous two albums?

Knox: It’s faster, more vicious, and cuts your throat. It’s also shorter than Kill Grid, by about 12 minutes. The pace never lets up.

MER: You’ve released three songs from War Remains, what kind of feedback have you received so far?

Knox: So far it’s been overwhelmingly positive. The Metal Observer gave it a 9.5/10! Very cool, it’s been humbling.

MER: This Summer, Enforced will be touring North America with Venom, Exhumed, and Acid Witch, what are your expectations on the upcoming tour?

Knox: Our expectations are always low, but we’re going to play and melt faces and hopefully make new friends along the way.

MER: Do you have any plans after the tour with Venom?

Knox: We have a string of shows and another tour, nothing announced yet, but soon!

MER: Who do you hope to tour with that you haven’t yet and why?

Knox: Personally, I’d like to tour with Cavalera. Max and Igor are big influences of ours and I’d love to watch them every night.

MER: What are some of your favorite bands from the New Wave of Thrash Metal?

Knox: High Command, Warbringer, Power Trip, Angelus Apatrida.

MER: Enforced has been consistently touring and putting out music since the band’s formation, how have you and your band mates managed the nonstop touring and writing?

Knox: HARD WORK! We’re always writing, always thinking up new merch stuff, etc.

MER: What are your hopes for Enforced’s future?

Knox: World domination

MER: Out of Enforced’s three albums, what is one you would suggest to a new fan and why?

Knox: I would do it chronologically: At the Walls, Kill Grid, then War Remains. You’ll be able to pick apart the subtle changes over the course of our 6 years playing.
