THRASH BOMBZ – Master Of The Dead

Master Of The Dead is the 2nd full length album from Italian Thrash Metal warriors Thrash Bombz. Fans of classic Thrash ranging from Slayer and Death Angel to more melodically leaning acts such as Annihilator and Testament will be right at home here. Thrash is an interesting genre in that many of the later bands have produced the style’s best albums, after generations of refinement of the the rather specific elements and characteristics of Thrash. Thrash Bombz is a great example of this. The band clearly understands their audience well and what the fans want to hear.

Master Of The Dead is a 10 track collection of the Thrashiest of Thrash material. It could be argued that Thrash Bombz has done little to broaden the horizons of the style, but then again, it should be clear that this is not their goal. A few tracks seem to miss the groove that makes them sink in and become favorites, but overall the album is a strong release that should serve the band, and fans, well.

Highlights include, “Condemned To Kill Again”, “Evil Witches” and “The Avenger”.
