Helion Prime is from Sacramento, California, USA, and Helion Prime is their debut full length release. Female-fronted Metal bands are becoming more and more popular (and apparent), but such bands predominantly fall into the Hard Rock or Symphonic /Progressive subgenres of Metal. Other than Holy Moses (Sabina Clausen), Thrash and Power Metal have largely been dominated by male vocalists. Until now, that is … because Power Metal fans should take note of Helion Prime’s rough and aggressive approach and soundscapes — fronted by the vocal talents of Heather Michele.  Demonstrating a focus on Sci-fi topics, Helion Prime delivers an overall winner.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
