From Peru comes a real treat in the form of the second solo album by vocalist Fátima Natthammer (ex-Mandrágora), titled The Hammer of the Witch. This is the follow up to the 2018 self-titled release, which made a big splash throughout South America, Spain and Germany.

About the Album

At the beginning of 2020 (at the beginning of the pandemic), Fátima Natthammer focused on the composition, production and recording of The Hammer Of The Witch. In 2023 she released the singles “Evil Nightmare”, “Guardian Of Light”, “Steel Warrior” and “Don’t Burn The Witch” to enthusiastic fans. Fátima Natthammer has a powerful voice, and uses it to great effect on this classic Heavy Metal album.

Final Notes

Natthammer may be South America’s best kept Heavy Metal secret, but with great music like this on The Hammer of the Witch it won’t be a secret for long. Songs like “Evil Nightmare” evoke echoes of Black Sabbath, Dio and Dream Evil. Standout tracks include the fast paced “Guardian Of Light” and “Don’t Burn The Witch”. The album has great production, excellent performances by all of the musicians, and very catchy songs. Fans of Burning Witches will love this album, and all Heavy Metal fans should give it a spin.
