It’s Always Darkest Before the Dawn

UK Prog-rock stalwarts Marillion recently released their 20th studio album entitled An Hour Before It’s Dark. Despite the music’s dark tones, Marillion’s lyrics are uplifting and challenge the listener to make a positive impact with the time they have left in this world. I had the chance to speak with drummer Ian Mosley prior to the album’s release.

Highlights Include

  • Discussion of the new Marillion album An Hour Before It’s Dark
  • The band’s process when it comes to songwriting
  • The impact crowd funding has had on the band’s career
  • What is Marillion weekend
  • Why Ian passed on joining AC/DC
  • … and much, much more!

Marillion is

Steve Hogarth – Vocals
Steve Rothery – Guitar
Pete Trewavas – Bass
Mark Kelly – Keyboards
