MIKE TIRELLI (HOLY MOTHER): “You Know I Was Thinking About That The Other Day, How Did I Get [DEE SNIDER Bassist RUSSELL PZUTTO] Involved? *Laughs*”

Holy Mother

The Burn Feels Good

The founding members of Holy Mother, Mike Tirelli and James Harris have reunited to pay tribute to their longtime bassist Randy Coven. Coven was a multi-talented bassist who worked with Rock guitar luminaries Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteem, and the late Leslie West. Randy also appeared on all 6 Holy Mother albums. Sadly he passed away in 2014.

On February 12, 2021 Holy Mother will release Face This Burn. I was fortunate enough to listen to an advanced copy of this album. It is by far the best work Holy Mother has put out, and it may very well rank as one of the top Hard Rock albums of 2021. I had the chance to speak with singer Mike Tirelli about the past and future of Holy Mother.

Highlights include:

  • Discussion of the album Face This Burn
  • How Mike and James write songs together
  • How Holy Mother is going to use videos to substitute for live shows for now
  • What lead to the band’s break-up and reunion
  • Tirelli’s other band projects
  • Looking back on his time with Jack Starr’s Burning Star
  • Where is the Holy Mother back catalog?
  • … and much, much more!

Holy Mother is:

Mike Tirelli – Lead Vocals
Greg Giordano – Guitars
Russell Pzutto – Bass Guitar
James Harris – Drums
