Blood, Guts And Games is the new release from Eisley/Goldy, featuring vocalist David Glen Eisley (Sorcery, Giuffria, Dirty White Boys) and guitarist Craig Goldy (Resurrection Kings, Dio, Giuffria) collaborating on 10 tracks of undeniable 80s Hard Rock and Hair Metal. The record also features drummer Ron Wisko (The Storm, Foreigner, Cher, David Lee Roth) and original Giuffria bassist Chuck Wright. Fans of Giuffria, know exactly what to expect from this record. There has been a marked resurgence in popularity for bands of the 80s, and they fall into 3 camps. Those capitalizing on past success and touring playing old music, those writing new music that shows evolution musically, and those releasing very dated sounded new material hoping to recapture their mojo. Blood, Gut, And Games is very firmly the third.

This record could have come out in the 80s. Sonically, production wise, technically this is an 80s Melodic Rock record. And not a great one, but definitely a decent one. Vocally, there are a number of points where Eisley sounds out of breath and pitchy. There are places where Goldy misses notes. The drums and bass are solid but uninteresting for the most part. The uncredited keyboard parts are almost overpowering at points. Overall, it’s a fairly generic 80s record. There are some bright spots. Fans of Giuffria, and fans of 80s style Melodic Rock will find some enjoyable parts.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
