On the heels of the loss of long-time drummer A.J. Pero, but at the same time celebrating 40 years together as a band, Hair Metal icons Twisted Sister took Vegas by storm (with Mike Portnoy {ex-Dream Theater} behind the kit).  The recording equipment was rolling to commemorate the event, resulting in a 17-track live CD chock full of Twisted Sister’s best, spanning their full career.  The band’s sound and demeanor is more aggressive than what you may recall during their heyday … and that’s not a bad thing.  Overall, Metal Meltdown is a solid “greatest hits” compilation fans are bound to enjoy.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
