Hard Knox was a band that hit the Hair Metal scene in the early ’90s. Hailing from Utah, USA (yes, the Mormon haven), their independent release in 1993 was entitled Psyco’s R Us, and they partied and rocked like 1989 would continue on forever. The band’s style is a mix between Britny Fox and Dangerous Toys, but more over the top and “obnoxious” if will. In other words, this re-release of Psyco’s R Us is filled with everything that eventually led to the downfall of Hair Metal … yet one to check out if you can still find spandex in your clothes closet.
Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
