This is the 19th studio album of Magnum. 40 years of Rock history and many great hymns and immortal, epic tracks. So that is what the audience expects from a new album, as no one wants experiments or changes in style. The album begins perfectly with the title track and three more fantastic Hard Rock songs, but does show some weaker moments halfway through.

While not a single song is really bad, a few will fail to catch your attention and sail in waters too shallow for a connoisseur’s taste. Towards the end, Magnum regains the strength displayed in the opening tracks and brings Sacred Blood “Divine” Lies to a satisfying ending. While the British band is far too good to disappoint, the new album cannot push The Visitation off the throne as the best Magnum album of the new millennium.

Frank got hooked on Metal at the age of 14 when a friend introduced him to AC/DC and that was in 1981. Since then he listens to a variety of musical styles, including Prog and Songwriter-stuff, but mainly Metal of almost all types with one exception: He does not understand and has no clue about Black Metal. So dragons are fine, all kinds of monsters are, cats, too, of course, just no Pandas. Sorry.
