Defecto is a band from Denmark, and Excluded is their debut full-length release. Defecto’s music is an interesting blend of Progressive and Thrash Metal, with a few Traditional Metal elements periodically blended in. The band isn’t afraid to throw a few change-ups within Excluded’s 11 tracks. There are times when the band mercilessly shoves it all in your face, and there are other times when they spin together melodies that are a bit more elegant and polished. Though not at all identical, perhaps Symphony X is Defecto’s closest stylistic comparison, however, substantially less eclectic and experimental than these Danish youngsters.
