Amaranthe is a Swedish band formed in 2008, and Massive Addictive is their 3rd release. Amaranthe has a unique approach that combines “processed” Dance Metal with elements of Melodic Metal and Death Metal – however, Death Metal only via part-time harsh/growled vocals – their song topics and lyrics are far from conventional “death” themes. Furthermore, Amaranthe utilizes 3 vocalists with very different vocal styles: female clean, male clean, and male growls. The variety and excellent production quality are the band’s strengths within Massive Addictive… however, the repetitive “processed” sound tires and feels more Pop-ish than Metal. Overall, though, worth checking out.

His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
