Planethard is based out of Italy, and Now is their first release via the Scarlet Records label.  Although originally formed in 2004, Planethard is made up of relative youngsters to the music scene with plenty of energy and ambition, which can be heard throughout Now.  The band’s music is generally influenced by ‘80s Hard Rock and Arena Rock, if you will, but without obvious “Glam” intervention.  Production-wise, Now sounds crisp and fresh, and many of the 12 tracks contained within contain a good blend of catchiness combined with aggressiveness.  Lack of differentiation is this album’s only weakness … otherwise recommended.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
