Kreyskull is Heavy Rock band out of Finland, and Tower Witch is their 2nd release to date. Kreyskull can best be described as a Doom Metal band with Blues and Progressive/Psychedelic Rock influences. The 8 tracks on Tower Witch generally establish a thickly defined Bluesy Doom groove that the band sticks with, however, at certain intervals Kreyskull opts to curiously introduce shifts in the vibe and soundscape of each song. This album comes across disorganized at times, but at other junctures it sounds like pure genius. Although receiving a “good” not “great” overall score, Tower Witch is worth checking out.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
