Hollow Haze is an Epic/Progressive Metal band from Italy, and Countdown To Revenge is their 5th release. The album features vocalist Fabio Lione (formerly with Rhapsody Of Fire and Kamelot), and also nicely intertwines symphonic elements via collaborations with Antarktica and Wintermoon Orchestra. Overall, Countdown To Revenge is well made and an enjoyable listen. The only drawback may be overuse of higher octave held notes by Lione (which teeter sometimes towards being off-key) within many of the tracks. By the same token, Lione is truly a talented singer, and Nick Savio (guitars) and Simone Giorgini (keyboards) knock out impressive performances.
