Legendary Metal god Judas Priest rolled into Planet Hollywood’s Zappo’s Theater in Las Vegas on March 13th 2022. They were met with a packed house of Metal heads of all ages to join in the “50” year celebration.

Choosing a setlist that would highlight their extensive music catalog would be difficult, but they were up for the task (setlist below).

The 2 ½ hour show began with a bang, playing “One Shot At Glory” from their 1990 album Painkiller which got the crowd’s adrenaline pumping. The hits continued right into “Lightning Strikes” from the 2018 Firepower album and going back to 1982 with “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” from the incredible Screaming for Vengeance album. The night continued going a little bit further back to 1980 playing one of my favorites “Freewheel Burning” from the 1984  album Defenders of the Faith.

Rob Halford’s command of the stage and vocals were spot on, engaging with the crowd and showing his appreciation for 50 years for fan loyalty. Richie Faulkner’s blazing guitar, Ian Hill’s thundering bass, the sure and steady guitar of Andy Sneap and Scott Travis on the drums, rounded out the sound that made Judas Priest such an incredible music icon.

The night’s festivities continued with the band playing “Turbo Lover,” “Hell Patrol,” ”The Sentinel” and “Touch of Evil” from their 1986 Turbo album, 1990’s Painkiller and 1984’s Defenders of the Faith. “Rocka Rolla,” “Victim of Changes,” “Desert Plains,” “Blood Red Skies” and “Diamonds & Rust” finished out the night’s main set, but that was not the end of this night of music memories.
