This Friday’s Guest DJ: BLACK 7 (LARS TOTZKE)

Black 7 (Lars Totzke)

Black 7 is a melodic Instrumental Heavy Rock project, having its roots in the ’80s and ’90s.

Behind the veil of Black 7 stays Lars Totzke, a guitarist and songwriter from Hannover. Influenced by bands and artists such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Sevendust, Dream Theater, Slipknot and Korn but also Satriani, Gary Moore, Al di Meola and Paco de Lucia, Lars Totzke’s music is heavy and rock as well as orchestral and sometimes quiet.

After years of musical abstinence, Lars produced 14 new songs to be released on his first own album Look Inside under the music project label Black 7. It’s an instrumental album in which the guitar is the leading instrument and guides through the songs.

Black 7‘s Lars Totzke mastermind hosts this week’s show.

Tune in at 15:00 and 21:00 CET/ 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EST this Friday to hear the show!

Petar is a screener here at Metal Express Radio and makes sure that the new music we play on the radio is pure quality! He's been surrounded by music since birth. Both his parents graduated from music academy and then spent many years teaching in a music-profile high school. Petar himself discovered Rock music when he was a little kid back in the late 80s. His dad had lots of tracks on tapes, including Rainbow (DIO period). Later he and his brother bought some audio cassettes of The Beatles, Queen, Europe, AC/DC, etc. What really made him believe in Rock forever was the Deep Purple's live album Come Hell Or High Water (1994). Nowadays his preferences in Rock/Metal vary from Muddy Waters to Pantera, all the way through any sub genres you might think of.
