A 35 Year Triumph

In 2017 Doro Pesch hit the road with original Warlock guitarist Tommy Bolan to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Warlock’s landmark album Triumph and Agony. One of the tour stops along the way was at the Sweden Rock Festival. Doro had the performance recorded and video taped for a possible release down the road. Well, down the road is 2021.

To usher in the 35th anniversary of Triumph and Agony, Doro is releasing Triumph and Agony Live. The performance comes in different configurations including CD, Vinyl, and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray contains the entire performance at Sweden Rock Festival, plus a 90 minute documentary. I had the chance to speak with Doro Pesch ahead of the album’s release.

Highlights Include

  • Discussion of her new album & Blu-ray Triumph and Agony Live
  • Performing at the 2021 Alcatrazz Festival
  • How the live album and performance came together
  • Was anyone else from the original Warlock approached to play on the tour?
  • Would Doro consider a covers album?
  • Memories of touring and performing with Mike Howe of Metal Church
  • How far along is a new Doro studio album?
  • … and much, much more!
