Fistful Of Fire is the latest release from German Melodic Rock/Metal band Bonfire, and the third to feature most recent vocalist Alexx Stahl. Bonfire has been around for 35 years, and founding guitarist Hans Ziller has been along for the entire ride. The band also currently features Frank Pané – Guitars, backing vocals (2015–present), Ronnie Parkes – bass, backing vocals (2015–present), and Tim Breideband – drums (2015–present).

Unlike many bands with that much tenure, Bonfire continues to evolve, Fistful Of Fire is the latest step in that evolution. While this effort is heavier and more aggressive than 2018’s Temple Of Lies, it still manages to be extremely melodic. Big hooks, big riffs, stellar production, and a fresh, modern sound blend seamlessly with time-honored stylistic elements to produce a sure contender for one of 2020’s best.

There is no filler here. Every song on Fistful Of Fire is worthwhile. “Rock And Roll Survivors”, with its Scorpions flavored intro, is a made for radio killer. “Warrior”, with its keyboard-driven hook, and dynamic arrangement make it a Melodic Rock anthem. Another great track is the titular “Fistful Of Fire”, which has a Dokken style vibe. “Fire Etude” is worth a mention as well, the guitar instrumental that sounds a bit like Yngwie Malmsteen and Edward Van Halen battling it out for supremacy.

Fistful Of Fire is sure to please fans of Melodic Rock/Metal, Glam Metal, Hard Rock, and of course fans of Bonfire will definitely want to check it out.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
