Oslo’s SUiCiDE BOMBERS burst with over the top bluster. Self-described as “THE MOST EXPLOSIVE ROCK’N’ROLL BAND IN HISTORY!” their fourth album is their “sexiest to date…dripping with sleaze and presented in…impeccable style.” The skeptic in you will rightfully meet these proclamations with indifference.

Perhaps the last time you heard such bombast without being disappointed was the Kiss Alive album. Murder Couture leads off with the same type of swagger infused intro as our costumed heroes. You may smile at the audacity, but you brace yourself for disappointment. Then the plucky opening riff kicks in and a cascade of cleanly executed Sleaze Metal unfurls that’ll have you reaching for a clockwise twist of the volume knob.

“So Bad”, “Love Disasters”, “End Of The Story” and “Sleepless Elite” are just as outstanding as “Murder Couture.” Loaded with high energy riffs and sing along lyrics mixed to maximize the impact of all the band members. Simple, catchy and confident. This is what you want from a Glam/Sleaze Metal band. This recording isn’t tentative. It announces you will have a good time and defies you to feel any other way. Even the lone ballad “Worlds Without End” is loaded with grit and punch.

Fans of Sleaze/Glam Metal rejoice. Murder Couture is a juggernaut. Easily one the best Sleaze Metal releases of 2019 and a strong contender for a top ten finish for Hard Rock. Consistently good from start to finish, SUiCiDE BOMBERS put on a clinic of how to write and execute hook filled Metal. Turn it up at your next party or listen to it by yourself. Either way it will brighten your day.

Zac was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. His interest in heavy music began in the 70s with his father’s Johnny Cash albums. After cousins introduced him to Steppenwolf, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, KISS, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Johnny Cash didn’t stand a chance. The 80s were spent in full pursuit of everything Metal: searching for new music at record stores, listening to albums, studying the covers and sleeves, and attending concerts. In the 90s, he preferred Death Metal over Grunge and hosted the Death Metal Juggernaut on WUPX in Marquette, Michigan. It was advertised as the only prime time Death Metal radio show in the country.
