Dario Mollo is an Italian guitarist extraordinaire most recognized from his work with Glenn Hughes (Voodoo Hill) and the band The Cage. He’s been involved as well on the production side of the business, and that experience undoubtedly helps him recognize and “know” what works and what doesn’t work with respect to song structures and dynamics. Mollo’s beginning was actually back in the ’80s via his involvement with a band called Crossbones, however, success and longevity were both unsnatchable aspirations. But, rekindling the dream, Mollo resurrected the band’s name, and reunited with original drummer Ezio Secomandi and joined forces with Carl Sentance at the microphone (Persian Risk and others).

Rock The Cradle is comprised of 10 quality tracks of Melodic Metal that are all catchy, yet thick and powerful. Sentence performs quite well throughout this release, and his vocal style fits oddly well with Mollo’s guitar work and Secomandi’s thunderous drum beats. A late-comer quality release for 2016 … and definitely one you should check out!

Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
