With Scaling Up, Former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello has released his 4th solo album. Next in line to Judas Kiss from 2013, Scaling Up is loaded with all of the Traditional Melodic Hard Rock riffs and lyrics that you would expect from the Swedish axeman. While there are no new directions being pursued here, the Bluesy, guitar-driven vibe of Marcello’s time in Europe is very evident. A crisp and polished production help deliver the songs to their full potential and gloss over an otherwise underwhelming lead vocal performance. Fans of Europe, Marcello’s previous solo efforts, and Traditional Hard Rock in general will enjoy the release despite it not making anyone’s Top 10 list.

Highlights include “Don’t Miss You Much”, “Fix Me” and “Blow By Blow”.
