This Week’s Guest DJ: AMARANTHE!

This week’s Guest DJ Show is hosted by Amaranthe’s bass player Johan Andreassen who will spin his favorite music for an hour.

The steam-roller known as AMARANTHE continues to roll on relentlessly. In 2014 many were wondering how and if they could top the previous successes of their self-titled debut album (2011) and their sophomore effort ‘The Nexus’. In October 2014, those questions were answered with ‘MASSIVE ADDICTIVE’ which instantly charted in six countries, and even reached number one on the Billboard heatseekers charts. The lead single ‘Drop Dead Cynical’ reached far wider and higher than any previous AMARANTHE single, and stayed several weeks at the top of USA’s premier rock station, Sirius XM Octane, and had massive airplay all around the world.

Amaranthe’s new album Maximalism will be released on October 21st.  Metal Express Radio will give you a 6 tracks preview after the Guest DJ Hour!

Tune in at 15:00 and 21:00 CET/ 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EST this Friday to hear the show!

In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
