Scarlet Aura hails from Bucharest, Romania, and their album on offer is entitled Falling Sky.  The band lists a wide variety of musical influences, ranging from Iron Maiden, to Nightwish, to Helloween … and all of those make for an interesting mix into Scarlet Aura’s sound, which can be labeled Female-Fronted Melodic Metal — with attitude.  The band boasts outstanding and varied musicianship, but the highlight of the show is vocalist Aura Danciulescu who can weave in the lyrics mysteriously and seductively, but also occasionally kicks it up a notch to show a hint of aggression and to highlight the “power” within certain song segments.  Overall, a strong effort, by a relatively new band on the move upward!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
