Running Wild is one of those outfits that has been a rather well-kept secret through their 30+ years as a band. Hailing from Germany and headed up by Rock ‘n’ Rolf Kasparek, Running Wild has generally held firm to bring an aggressive form of Traditional Metal to the masses, this time via a release entitled Rapid Foray. In general, Running Wild fans will find what they’re looking for in this album, although Kasparek and the boys veer off on a few tangents while also pulling from the past at various times, which you may find adds spice … or lack of focus.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
