Stormbringer is a relatively new band out of the U.K., and Blood & Rust is their sophomore release. The band plays a mix between Melodic Metal and Traditional Metal with a few modern elements, but by and large Blood & Rust is full of rocking tunes that should connect well with most non-extreme Metalheadz. New vocalist Jimi Brown – mohawk and all – is talented and comes across clean and clear, yet delivers plenty of punch that meshes well with the band’s soundscape. The band seems to be onto something with Blood & Rust … a solid album from top to bottom.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
