Emerald Sun is a Greek Epic/Power Metal band with Progressive tendencies, and Metal Dome is their 3rd release. Greece continues to be one of the top 3 countries in the world with respect to generating Power Metal of various sorts (along with Germany and Brazil for argument’s sake), and Emerald Sun follows suit. What the band may lack in being unable to avoid occasional cheesy lyrics and topical themes, they certainly make up for via quality musicianship and solid recording production. If you can tolerate another round of “Metal will live forever” lyrics, then Metal Dome is worth checking out.
