Veteran Scandinavian vocalist Jorn Lande paired up with guitar virtuoso Trond Holter with the help of Frontiers Records to create a dark, Dracula-based Melodic Hard Rock Opera entitled Swing Of Death. Lande plays the character Vlad Dracul and guest singer Lena Fløitmoen plays Mina/Lucy. Like many story-based albums, the lyrics tend to “get in the way” causing several songs to feel cumbersome for the sake of staying on course with the story line, but what’s outstanding throughout this record is Holter’s guitar work. Providing you enjoy Lande’s vocal style, this theatrical opus will likely penetrate through to your blackened soul.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
