Air Raid is a relatively new band from Sweden, and Point Of Impact is their 2nd full-length release. The band plays straight-forward Traditional Metal in the vein of Judas Priest, Accept, and Iron Maiden, and seems to have all the tools and components necessary to indeed make their point of impact on the Metal world. Arthur W Andersson is a very capable vocalist while Andreas Johansson’s and Johan Karlsson’s twin guitar attack provides plenty of tasty riffs, licks, and extended musical passages. Point Of Impact only contains 8 tracks, which comprise all of 35 minutes – the album’s only true weakness.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
