Triosphere is a female-fronted 4-piece band out of Norway, and The Heart Of The Matter is their 3rd release. Triosphere plays a blend of Melodic Metal with Progressive and Power Metal elements. The Heart Of The Matter is filled with passionate songs, made even more so by the vocal talents of Ida Haukland. This album, however, is one of those “oddities” where everything individually passes the sniff test, but when all mashed together, there’s something missing that is needed to elevate this good album into greatness … as such, Triosphere’s new release comes across on the high side of “average.”

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
