Sweden’s Hammerfall are one of the pioneers of the Epic Power Metal movement, and (r)Evolution is the band’s 9th release to date.   Fans of Epic Power Metal largely hold Hammerfall’s first 2 releases in very high regard, but some of that “magic” and inspiration of the past has been difficult for the band to maintain.  To recapture that energy of the past, Hammerfall re-invoked the production talents of Fredrik Nordstrom, who by and large helped the band succeed in their quest to regain the “edge” of the past. End product is (r)Evolution boasts quality and clarity from start to finish.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
