GRAVE DIGGER – Return Of The Reaper

Grave Digger is a Power/Thrash Metal band from Germany formed way back in 1980, and Return Of The Reaper is their 17^th studio record. Along with Helloween, Grave Digger gets credit for the genesis of the German Power Metal movement; however, they have incorporated significant Thrash and Epic elements into their music as well. The album starts out a bit “spooky” (almost comically so), but quickly develops into a high quality rough and dirty Power/Thrash Metal album, as the Germans have largely perfected over the years. Occasional corny lyrics and song topics aside, this is a release worth checking out.
