Black Label Society (BLS), the personal creation of former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, is releasing their 10th studio record entitled Catacombs Of The Black Vatican. BLS has been consistent with its Biker Metal sound (which is essentially a derivative of Doom Metal) over the years, and their new release follows suit, meaning you can still be well assured that you’ll get pretty much what you’ve been accustomed to getting if you’re a BLS fan. This new release, however, seems to have more “soul” – it’s a bit less heavy, but more melodic … but most importantly, it’s just damn good.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
