Vanishing Point is a Progressive band from Australia that incorporates “light” symphonics into their brand of Metal. After a number of recent line-up changes and bouts with personal strife, Vanishing Point is set to release their 5th studio record entitled Distant Is The Sun. As they say, good things come to those who wait, and this new release certainly confirms that adage. Each track blends skillfully played Progressive Metal with atmospheric symphonics, which result in a very enjoyable, if not mysterious listening experience.  Silvio Massaro’s voice fits perfectly with Vanishing Point’s soundscape, making Distant Is The Sun a recommended buy.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
