Harem Scarem is a Melodic Hard Rock band out of Canada that experienced success in the late ‘80s and ‘90s, but disbanded only to reform predominantly to run the tour circuit. In 1993, the band released Mood Swings, which has now been re-recorded and re-titled Mood Swings II… and it also includes 3 new studio tracks. The production quality of Mood Swings II is excellent, and Harem Scarem present themselves as Canada’s version of Def Leppard (think Hysteria).  The songs are well-configured and by and large catchy.  Check this album out now if you missed it 20 years ago!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
