KEN HENSLEY (URIAH HEEP, BLACKFOOT) interview 2002

Backstage With Ken Hensley

Interview with Ken Hensley done while he promoted his new album Running Blind. Hear why it took him 20 years to make a new solo album and the reasons for him leaving Uriah Heep back in the days and also why he stepped out from Blackfoot in the middle of a tour. Why didn’t the cooperation with John Lawton work out? Why did Ken become a born again Christian? It’s all in this interview.

As a bonus there are some out-takes from a Guest DJ Show he did for Metal Express Radio where Ken talks about rehearsing in the room next to Deep Purple in London and why he doesn’t look at himself as a skilled keyboard player. He also shares his love for ZZ TOP’s Eliminator album….
