If you are expecting another record full of Deep Purple-like music, you’ve definitely bought the wrong record. Everything that Glover as a solo-artist has put out, have never sounded like Purple. Far from it! Snapshot is brimful of tastefully played rock- music, usually appreciated by older blues/ rock/ soul fans.

If you like J.J. Cale, David Lindley, Ry Cooder, Eric Clapton (when he rocked- it’s been a while…), Paul Brady, John Hiatt etc, you will love this record! A varied record, with a tasteful mix of quality songs. Snapshot is a very welcome surprise, and I’m happy to recommend it for these long, dark evenings. Rock on- with class.

Highlights: Burn me up slowly, No place to go, The Bargain Basement, Could have been me.
