( votes)Former Y&T main man, Dave Meniketti still plays hard, bluesy rock ‘n roll with his distinctive voice in fine form. Sadly the material on this solo-album never rises to the level Y&T used to frequent in the mid 80s. The best songs (Messin with Mr. Big, Tough Luck Avenue, No lies) are never better than ok, and the worst songs remind me of a ballad ‘n blues-fixated Gary Moore (Hard as I try, It’s over). Meniketti might still appeal to hardcore Y&T fans, but I hoped for something more than this. Maybe next time?
Highlights: Messin with Mr. Big, No Lies.
