After a lengthy spell without releasing new material, silence were broken with the album Hellway to high in 1999, proving the band were still alive. This years new effort is called: Tuff Tuff Tuff, and is a record for those who like their rock’n roll hard, fast and mean. They might not get any new fans with this release, but they sure will put a smile on their hardcore fans lips! Hopefully the word will spread around that this IS a really good record.

The band has been going since the early/mid eighties, and they deserve credit (and record sales) for keeping the boogie flag flying high. The trends have been swinging back and forth since Backstreet Girls first album, and maybe good old fashioned rock’n roll will once again become the soundtrack of the masses, making Backstreet Girls one of the few real bands, with credibility (earned the hard way) and a lot of good songs to play.

The good news is that a lot of those good songs are on this brand new album. Highlights include fiery opener:”What do you know”, “Mental days”, “I’m a boy”, “Three times in the gutter”, and “Porno Dancing”, and many more. Buy
