This Friday’s Guest DJ: STREET FIGHTER

Marco Angioni (Street Fighter)

This week’s Guest DJ Show is hosted by MARCO ANGIONI who has produced (and performed on) the excellent new single “Nordic Noise”. The track is the official tribute song to one of the biggest metal festivals in Denmark – Nordic Noise, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

This song also features the talents of Michael Bastholm (Artillery), Sofia Schmidt (Ethereal Kingdoms), and Lars Märker (Meridian) on lead vocals, backing growls by Michael Hvolgaard Andersen (Withering Surface), and not least a real “guitar hero” solo by Soren Andersen (Electric Guitars).

The song is produced and performed by the multi-talented Marco Angioni at Angioni Studios. Written by Marco and Lars Märker, it is a tribute to heavy metal from the golden age of the eighties added a modern heavier twist.

Soilwork, Artillery, Konkhra, Electric Boys, Liv Sin, and Sorcerer, Transport League, Kickin Valentina, Thorium, Manticora, Battering Ram, Detest, Arsenic Addict and Ethereal Kingdoms are the bands that will perform at Nordic Noise 2022 – the 10th anniversary of the festival. Stig is the founder and the president of Metal Express Radio, based out of Oslo, Norway. He has been around doing Metal radio since the mid-eighties. In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
