LIZZY BORDEN: “[Die Influencers Die] Was Always Meant To Be A Low Budget Splatter Flick”

We All Bleed

In 2018 Lizzy Borden released their first studio album in eleven years, My Midnight Things.  In addition to an extensive tour to promote the release and legacy of Lizzy Borden, the group decided to follow-up their highly popular Best of Lizzy Borden (1994) with a sequel, Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2.  The compilation picks up were the previous one left off, covering their studio albums from 2000-2008, plus two new cover songs.

In August of 2020, front man and namesake of the band, Lizzy Borden, made his feature film debut.  He stars as the demonic Otherworld Coyote in the Heavy Metal-fueled gorefest Die Influencers Die.  Written and directed by Gary Orona (Hotel Erotica, The Erotic Traveler), the indie horror flick co-stars the legendary Tabitha Stevens and Katie Morgan. Die Influencers Die recently made its debut on Amazon Prime Video and other streaming outlets.

I had the chance to speak with Lizzy Borden shortly after the release of his Die Influencers Die soundtrack video of “My Midnight Things.”
