UDO & SVEN DIRKSCHNEIDER (U.D.O., EX-ACCEPT): “Maybe I [Should] Start Doing A Farewell Tour For Five Years”

In 2015 German Heavy Metal act U.D.O., led by former Accept vocalist Udo Dirkschneider released Navy Metal Night. It was a live DVD/2CD set that saw U.D.O. performing a collection of their best tracks with the German Navy Orchestra. Flash forward to 2020. U.D.O. continue with their love of combining Heavy Metal with orchestral arrangements.

U.D.O.’s latest release We Are One is a collection of all new original material, backed by the Concert Band of the German Armed Forces. We Are One is a collection of songs about the environmental and social issues we are facing in the world today. Metal Express Radio had the opportunity to speak with Udo Dirkschneider and his drummer/son Sven Dirkschneider about their latest release, what lies ahead for U.D.O., and whether Udo plans to retire.
