Make America Crazy Again is the fourth release from American Hard Rock band Miss Crazy. Formed in 2005 in San Jose California, Miss Crazy endeavors to represent the best of the Hair Metal genre, citing Def Leppard, AC/DC, and Mötley Crüe as influences. The influence is clearly there, but the music doesn’t quite pack the punch that would put it on par with them.

Make America Crazy Again is a decent record, but like a lot of music coming out these days, it sounds a bit more like it is trying to achieve a certain sound, rather than organically produces it. There is just an element of formula to it that results in a lackluster finished product. There are a few decent tracks, and the band is good, but the album is just ok. There is nothing superior, nothing that truly grabs the listener. It simply comes off as a record designed to sound like Hair Metal that checks the boxes without any real magic.

The production quality is good, the musicians are tight, the singer is solid, and despite a few hiccups, the fit and finish is there. It’s just simply underwhelming. Fans of Miss Crazy and Hair Metal/Hard Rock may want to check it out.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
