IVORY TOWER was formed in 1996 first under the incredible name AX’N SEX. After some deliberation the musicians changed the name of the band to the more suitable IVORY TOWER. Debut self-titled album came in 1998 and sophomore record Beyond the Stars was released in 2000. Some lineup and label changes followed up to have the band release its third album Subjective Enemy (formerly known as “IT“) in 2008 and the 2011 IV.
In 2012 IVORY TOWER decided to extend the family and incorporated the keyboards as integral part to increase the possibilities of the band’s sound and songwriting. Leaving several years hiatus behind, with current lineup consisting of Dirk Meyer (vocals), Sven Böge (guitarist and band founder), Thorsten Thrunke (drums), Björn Bombach (bass), Frank Fasold (keyboards), the band comes back in 2019 to release Stronger – the 5th full-length album of IVORY TOWER.
