This Friday’s Guest DJs: EXTREMA

Extrema can be simply defined as probably the longest running Metal band and best live act to ever emerge from Italy. The band came to light in Milan, back in 1985. They have been playing heavy and fast since before many of their current fans were born, and it’d be foolish to think of it in a negative way. They navigated through the thick and thin of it all and are most definitely not fair-weather metal-heads, and that built a faithful and cross-generational following worldwide around’em.

During 30 years of activity the band toured with the likes of Motörhead and Death Angel, and opened for Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Korn and many others. And, of course, endlessly touring on their own, as well as released a number of albums, the latest in 2019 called  Headbanging Forever.

Extrema‘s Tiziano “Titian” Spigno and Tommy Massara are this week’s Guest DJs to present 10 favorite metal tracks.

Tune in at 15:00 and 21:00 CET/ 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EST this Friday to hear the show!

While you wait check out the official video for “For The Loved And The Lost”:

Stig is the founder and the president of Metal Express Radio, based out of Oslo, Norway. He has been around doing Metal radio since the mid-eighties. In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
