Corners Of Sanctuary Band Pic 2019

Hailing from Philadelphia, New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal band Corners of Sanctuary (COS) formed in 2011 with a desire to bring back the sounds of Classic Heavy Metal to the modern music arena.

2012 marked the release of their debut album Breakout. Being well received, Breakout was listed in the Lithuanian publication Diovim as one of the Best CDs of 2012. The band’s newest album, the hard-driving The Galloping Hordes, is now available on Killer Metal Records and has the distinction of including the legendary producer and engineer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, W.A.S.P., Fate Warning) as head of the post-production mastering team. The album was initially released digitally in May 2018 and a CD release took place in August 2018 while the band was in Belgium performing during their first European tour.

2019 has the band working with a new singer, Ryan Michael. The grouping has already produced a new single and music video, “Children of the Night.” COS has already started working on their next album, tentatively titled Heroes Never Die, and plan to release several other singles this year.

Corners Of Sanctuary’s guitarist, Mick Michaels, hosts this week’s show to present his 10 inspirational tracks. After Mick’s set, we’ll play that new single as well as tracks of last year’s The Galloping Hordes release!

Tune in at 15:00 and 21:00 CET/ 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EST this Friday to hear the show!

While you wait check out the official video for that new track “Children Of The Night”:
