Enemies And Lovers is the debut record from American Hard Rock/Melodic Rock supergroup A New Revenge. It seems the new trend is for various amalgamations of musicians to come together and create a record, perhaps tour, and then go on their respective ways, and A New Revenge seems to fit that pattern. Featuring Tim “Ripper” Owens on lead vocals, who is currently a member of Charred Walls Of The Damned, HAIL, Spirits Of Fire, The Three Tremors, and A New Revenge. The rest of the band consists of a member of another Owens project called Project Rock from 2013 and perhaps is simply the evolution of that project.

The lineup includes Keri Kelli, guitar (Alice Cooper, Slash), legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Quiet Riot), Drummer James Kottak (Warrant, Scorpions). Bearing that in mind, Enemies And Lovers is very good. 10 big, radio-friendly melodic rockers with world-class performances and production, coming in at just over 36 minutes worth of music. The title track is probably the strongest offering on the record, with a hooky, harmony-laden chorus that will have the listener singing along. “Only The Pretty Ones” is another great track, although there really aren’t any weak ones. Fans of Melodic Rock, Hard Rock, and AOR music will certainly enjoy this well-crafted record. A solid contender for one of the best of 2019.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
